滑翔机是一种无动力飞行器,需要靠外力的协助,使滑翔机在空中随着气流变化而飞行。如果再加上人为驾驶或遥控,更能够让滑翔机像展翅的老鹰一样,无声无息地翱翔天空悠哉盘旋。
A glider is a plane that is not engine-powered. External force is needed for the glider to glide with the assistance of the air flow. When human-control is presence, it can allow the glider to glide like an eagle and sore through the sky.
橡皮筋弹力滑翔机本身除了没有动力之外,也没有任何操控与遥控功能,完全是靠弹射力让滑翔机在空中自由飞行。当滑翔机弹射离手之后,会快速爬升到顶点,并随着气流变化做出盘旋、滚翻、俯冲,展现出各式各样无法预测的飞行动作,最后降落地面。如果能够巧遇强劲的上升气流,就会飞得更高更远更久,这个在空中自由自在的飞行时间就是留空,所以弹力滑翔机留空的时间越长,就代表飞行能力越好。
The rubber-band powered glider not only have no power on its own, it also has no control ability. It uses the elastic force from the rubber band to convert into kinetic energy for the glider to fly and glide. When the glider is shot out, it quickly climbes to the maximum height, and glides with the air flow. It can also do stunts like vertical spinning, fall and climb again and many other amazing stunts before it reaches the ground. If its lucky enough to meet a strong upwards air current, the gliding time of the glider will increase, which also means that the ability of gliding is better.

While making and playing the glider, simple flying concepts can be learnt through designing, hands-on and shooting. This series of rubber-band powered gliders are speed gliders, thus their flying speed will be high and will be able to fly high and far. It is hence suitable for outdoors, especially when it is against the direction of wind, no matter the speed of the wind, it will still result in a nice flying style compared to the other models which are slow gliders.
纸张的优点是容易取得与制作,但是它的缺点是怕潮湿,所以弹射滑翔机时,必须在干燥的环境下进行。通常在正常的情况下弹射,一架滑翔机可以弹射百次以上,如果遇到撞击变形,只要用手捏回原状即可。若是不幸挂置在高处,绝对严禁试图冒险爬高取回,因为材料成本低廉,再制作就可以,而且还会越做技术越纯熟,就算是摔坏也不会心疼。
One plus point about paper is, that it is easier to purchase and made into gliders, however it cannot touches water. Thus when shooting the gliders, take note of the environment. The ground must be dry to prevent gliders being destroyed by the touches of water. If the gliders are shot correctly, it can have 100^ shots. In case the glider lost it shape, slight adjustments using hands will do. If the glider ever got stuck at a high location, do not climb to get it back, as the material used are very low budget, it would be safer and easier to make another one. At the same time, more practices will bring about more perfect glider.

Every model of the glider has its own opened-design drawing color graph and line graph, completed picture, procedure of making with pictures. Opened-design drawing is the drawing of the different types of models. Please cut down the drawings and make sure it is flat before photocopying to ensure zero error is made.
