關於作者:
Leroy F. Jackson 1881-1958 was born in London,Ontario, Canada. He moved with his family to NorthDakota in the early 1890s. Jackson received his bachelorsdegree from the University of North Dakota and hismasters degree from the University of Chicago.In 1912 he went to Harvard for a year to conductresearch under Frederick Jackson Turner. After severalyears of holding teaching positions throughout NorthDakota, Minnesota, and Washington, Jackson moved toBurnsville, NC to become director of the Stanley McCormickSchool.
In 1932 Jackson began working for the U.S. IndianService and was sent to Wrangell, Alaska to becomedirector of the Wrangell Institute. In 1934 Jackson wassent to New Mexico to work with the Navajo at theCharles H. Burke School in Fort Wingate, and the TaosDay School in Taos.Jackson was also the author of several publishedarticles, monographs, and childrens books of nurseryrhymes. He died in Pomona, California in 1958.
Blanche Fisher Wright was a childrens book illustratoractive in the 1910s. She is best known for illustratingThe Real Mother Goose, published in 1916.
