內容試閱:
Strategic Management remains not only in different enterprise, but also in different organization. The objective of this book is to prepare people for the exciting, challenging, and rewarding strategic managerial work.
Firstly, in this book we follow the contents of strategic management theory and structure, and meanwhile, we add some strategic management approaches and methods to help readers use them in daily work. Considering that most readers of this book are Chinese and working in Chinese culture environment, we take a perspective of Chinese culture background in two ways: firstly, we design ”Strategic Management in China” as a section in each chapter to describe every part of strategic management thought and method in Chinese culture; secondly, we arrange two cases study of enterprise at the end of each chapter: one comes from western country and the other comes from China. In these two ways, we can make readers easily understand the principles of strategic management.
Secondly, most of strategic management theory is dull, and to make it interesting, we still search for a good way. In this book, we give an interesting title in contents hierarchically with question and exclamatory sentence, so readers will have a strong desire to read the content of each part. In the beginning of each chapter we design a ”guide map of knowledge” in a vivid way to attract readers to learn the whole structure of knowledge. Additionally, we choose a mini case to connect the theory to inspire people to take systemic learning.
Thirdly, to make our strategic management work more effective, we need a good way to arouse the transformation from knowledge into ability. Base on this point of view, we set questions and discussions after each case, and give the ”discussion questions” at the end of every chapter. We believe that through discussion readers can make a connection between knowledge and ability.
Finally, we should give thanks for readers. Without their judgment, this book will lose its value and role. And we should also give thanks for authors of each chapter. Even if we have a desire to give a vivid knowledge system of management theory, how to organize so many materials and references into a clear think is a challenging work. Additionally we should say thanks for editors, they commit very large edit work to make sure this book have a wonderful appearance and interesting style. Besides, we should give thanks for the people who have given or will give any help to this book.
